I recently tried a new product that impressed me. A new scent wash that smells like dirt, what a concept. Being the eternal skeptic I doubted that smelling like dirt could be a plus. However, the formula proved successful, and deer seemed to be receptive to this scent. I hear a new scent will soon be on the market, "cow patty".

6-01-02 The fish on Lake Hickory can be hard to find at times. Recently I have been having some success fishing topwater lures over deepwater. I have been looking for some topwater activity, once I locate some, I fish to the boils or just jerk baits along the top of the water in a manner that might imitate fish chasing minnows. A few days ago I hooked two fish at the same time using this method.
